All of my mandalas are free hand painted and improvised.
Only a few had a layout sketch before I began, and I rarely draw anything on the canvas beforehand.
Most pieces have a few orientation lines and three circles for spacing, but otherwise, everything is intuitive.
I use paint cones (like henna cones!) to lay down 3D lines and texture on these paintings.
Every line is one stroke, except where I added extra thickness.
I use the same cones when I'm making my sculptures, but the cones
are filled with molding paste and acrylic gel rather than paint.
I also have many other creations that explore texture, color, and nature.
